My family tells me that I have always been a curious person. They say that from the time that I could talk, I’ve asked a lot of questions and have whole-heartedly sought to get the answers to those questions. And beyond that, I have consistently tried to use that new knowledge to help myself and others improve their lives. It’s no wonder that I’ve had the personal and professional life that I have.

I truly value education that provides the sound knowledge base that's necessary for a person's growth. My Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree, Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) were foundational for my understanding of mental health and emotional intelligence. The information learned while earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) (anticipated December 2024) has provided me with increased understanding of business competencies and value creation. But, this doesn’t mean that I believe learning is contained to the classroom or other formalized settings. I use reading, engaging with others, observation and reflection to ensure that I’m able to gain new information and apply it.

To my core, I believe that we must invest our resources into people. Throughout my career, I've partnered with individuals and organizations across multiple sectors to make those investments and move this work forward. I look forward to continuing to do this work for a long time.
